Zelenskyy States Readiness To Meet Putin In Turkey

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his willingness to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Turkey. He made this statement during an interview with CNN Türk and UATV English relays. Zelenskyy hoped that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would facilitate talks with Putin during a meeting in Turkey. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of a leaders' meeting in ending the war, stating that negotiations between technical teams, while productive, have not halted the conflict.

He pointed out that previous meetings in Turkey and the United Arab Emirates have yielded results, but the war persists. Zelenskyy also discussed the significance of a leaders' meeting in the United States, noting that public sentiment in both Ukraine and the US favors an end to the war. He believed that if leaders meet but fail to make progress, it could be perceived as a diplomatic failure.

Zelenskyy, as a decision-maker, stressed the necessity of demonstrating political will to resolve the situation.
