US still has ‘one or two targets’ in Iran — Trump

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the United States has largely destroyed Iran's military capabilities, but still plans to target one or two additional sites, according to a Reuters report. Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, warned the US and Israel against launching a new offensive, as the Islamic Republic prepared to update its target list to include assets belonging to the American-Zionist enemy, according to a statement from Khamenei's office.

Tehran has also restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route, causing global energy prices to spike. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that a decision on further strikes on Iran has not been made and that the United States remains open to a diplomatic solution. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for a historic opportunity to topple the Iranian government, while a ship traversing the strait was reported to have struck a mine and caught fire, Iranian state television reported.
