Mumbai's unbeaten run extends to four consecutive matches in the Ranji Trophy as they prepare to face Railways at Brabourne Stadium on Wednesday. The 42-time champions have dominated the 2026-27 season, securing three consecutive victories with bonus points. Despite the absence of injured all-rounder Shardul Thakur, Mumbai remains confident in their squad depth, particularly in batting and bowling departments.
Meanwhile, Railways, the two-time champions from 2001-02 and 2004-05, aim to challenge Mumbai's supremacy and improve their position in the group. The match at Brabourne, their adopted home ground this season, adds significance to the contest as both teams vie for crucial points before the Ranji Trophy resumes in January.
