These IMG Academy recruits shined in blowout win over The Hun School
The Ascenders' stars shined bright as IMG Academy downed The Hun School (NJ) in convincing fashion on Saturday, Oct. 31.
On Halloween night, IMG Academy dominated The Hun School with a 42-14 victory. Coach Greg Studrawa praised the team's completeness, noting the balanced offense, suffocating defense, and physical play on both sides of the ball. The Ascenders began the game strong with a short touchdown run from Elijah Newman-Hall, who was dominant throughout the win, rushing for over 100 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.
The Hun School struggled to keep up, managing only one touchdown in the second quarter. IMG Academy went on to score on six straight possessions, forcing a running clock in the third quarter. Freshman Jayden Wade, a five-star Georgia commit, was nearly flawless with his passing, going 12-for-15 for about 166 yards and a touchdown.
His go-to receiver, Osani Gayles (Alabama commit), finished with six catches for around 107 yards and a touchdown, often finding open space away from the ball carrier. Senior Larry Moon III provided strong run support and coverage, registering a pass breakup and a tackle for loss. The Ascenders' defense, led by freshman Lucas Prock (Indiana commit), held The Hun School to under 100 rushing yards and limited quarterback throws to just seven completions.
