Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia will continue its hybrid war against Europe, and European countries must prepare for new threats by strengthening their defenses. In an interview with The Sun, Zelenskyy urged partners to increase defense spending now, as he stated, "We can't trust Russia." The British Prime Minister emphasized that they do not expect the UK to be friends with Russia due to Russia's attitude towards them.
Zelenskyy stressed that the war against Ukraine is not the only concern; Russia's growing experience in hybrid attacks, including cyberattacks, will persist throughout Europe. Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany echoed these concerns, noting that Russia attempts to destabilize Germany daily, with threats extending beyond the war in Ukraine to sabotage, cyberattacks, and interference in European internal affairs.
