Punjab Announces 270 Master’s and 15 PhD Scholarships for Nurses

The Punjab government has launched an initiative to offer 285 postgraduate scholarships for nursing faculty members working in public-sector institutions across the province. This effort is part of the Punjab Nursing and Health Workforce Reform Program, overseen by the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department through the Program Implementation Unit.

The scholarships include 15 PhD opportunities and 270 Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) positions. The government aims to enhance nursing education by providing advanced qualifications to eligible faculty members through recognized universities, both in Pakistan and internationally. The scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis until all approved positions are filled.

Eligible candidates must be faculty members at public-sector nursing institutions and meet the academic and professional requirements of their chosen program. The application process requires applicants to submit their details and supporting documents through the Directorate General Nursing to the Program Implementation Unit. Admission to a university does not guarantee a scholarship, and each application will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria before a final decision is made.
