Panthers linked to 5 CBs ahead of 2026 NFL trade deadline
CBS Sports has come up with a handful of potential trade targets for the Panthers' hamstrung secondary.
Carolina Panthers are struggling both on and off the field, following a series of poor performances and injuries. The team lost two consecutive games and had to replace their defensive coordinator, Ejiro Evero, midway through the season. Injured players have further compounded the Panthers' woes, with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Akayleb Evans, and Will Lee III currently sidelined.
Only Chau Smith-Wade and newcomer Malcolm DeWalt IV remain healthy on the active roster. To address their cornerbacks' situation, the Panthers are considering a trade, focusing on boundary cornerbacks. Potential candidates include Riq Woolen, Donte Jackson, Alontae Taylor, Amik Robertson, and Nahshon Wright.
