The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi recently hosted its 19th Open House event, showcasing over 500 technological presentations spanning various fields such as AI, quantum technologies, semiconductors, robotics, advanced materials, biotechnology, sustainability, defence and space. Dr. Binay Kumar Das, Director General of Electronics and Communication Systems at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), served as the chief guest.
Addressing students, Dr. Das emphasized the importance of maintaining connections with one's Indian roots, regardless of one's educational or career pursuits abroad. He urged them to carry forward India's culture and traditions while acknowledging the responsibility to respect and contribute to their motherland. "You are an icon," he said, encouraging students to remain grounded and return to India to give back to the nation.
