Navi Mumbai: Youth Caught Performing Dangerous Bike Stunts On Palm Beach Road After Videos Go Viral, Apologises

Navi Mumbai's Seawoods Traffic Police apprehended a youthful rider on Saturday night after videos emerged on social media depicting him engaging in perilous motorcycle stunts along Palm Beach Road. The rider, witnessed speeding and executing wheelies between Moraj Circle and Seawoods, allegedly attempted to escape upon spotting the police but was subsequently caught.

Traffic rule violations led to the enforcement actions taken against him, according to Senior Police Inspector Suvarna Raut of the Seawoods Traffic Branch. Upon learning of the videos, the authorities launched a search to locate the rider. During their routine patrolling on Saturday night, the police spotted him on Palm Beach Road. After the rider fled upon seeing the police, he was apprehended.

The youthful offender eventually issued a public apology, acknowledging the dangers of his actions and vowing not to repeat them. He further appealed to his peers not to emulate the reckless stunts they witnessed on social media. The viral videos showcased the rider lifting the front wheel of his motorcycle while hurtling along the Moraj Circle-Seawoods stretch. The road experiences significant vehicular traffic, and such reckless riding poses a substantial risk to other commuters.

In addition to pursuing the dangerous rider, the traffic police have escalated their efforts against motorists using illegally modified silencers that generate excessive noise. Last month, over 100 such silencers were confiscated and destroyed during a targeted operation. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dr Rahul Khade announced that continuous patrolling and specialized drives will persist on Palm Beach Road to deter perilous riding and the disturbances caused by modified silencers.
