In Nashik, strict security measures around Ramkund for VIPs during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela flag-hoisting have sparked outrage among locals. Residents are unhappy with the limited access to the main event area and Ramkund itself due to heightened security concerns. The tight restrictions have led to social media backlash, with citizens asking if the Kumbh Mela is more for outsiders than Nashik's residents.
Some argue the restrictions are essential for safety, while others see it as an infringement on local rights. As residents prepare for the main Simhastha events, they voice concerns about future access to Ramkund in narrow streets, fearing similar measures could hinder participation in religious gatherings. Social media users urge authorities to balance security with local input to avoid increasing public discontent.
