NASCAR Cup Series Martinsville race live updates, highlights, leaderboard for YellaWood 500
The NASCAR Cup Series continues the 2026 season with the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville. Follow our NASCAR race updates here.
As of today, the NASCAR Cup Series championship hangs in the balance at Martinsville Speedway. Kyle Larson enters the Xfinity 500 with a commanding 73-point lead over Denny Hamlin, who will start on the pole. Both drivers are still mathematically alive to clinch the title, but Larson's path to victory appears more straightforward.
A win at Martinsville, along with at least 59 additional points, would secure Larson's third Cup Series championship. Hamlin, on the other hand, can still put pressure on Larson by winning the race. Other drivers like Christopher Bell, Chase Briscoe, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, and Tyler Reddick have slim chances of claiming the title, depending on their performances in subsequent races.
The race will be broadcast nationally on NBC, with live radio coverage on the Motor Racing Network (102.5-FM in Nashville) and streaming options on the NASCAR app and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
