Mumbai: BMW Seized After Juhu Police Constable Threatened, Authorities Seek Cancellation Of Driver’s Licence

Mumbai police have seized a BMW belonging to a Juhu resident after she allegedly threatened a traffic constable following a minor collision. The incident occurred near Sangeet Mahabharati Junction on October 30, around 8:15pm to 8:30pm, when Mehta's BMW and a Maruti WagonR were involved in a collision, blocking traffic. Traffic constable Prashant Hake, 36, was regulating the traffic when Mehta allegedly argued with him and threatened to implicate him in a false case related to a crime against women.

To avoid the traffic jam, Mehta allegedly attempted to move her car to the roadside but ignored repeated instructions to stop, eventually ramming into multiple vehicles, including a scooter, a motorcycle, and another car. The woman was arrested and produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Andheri, who released her on cash bail.
