Manifesto PH fokus rumah, pendapatan rakyat

Pakatan Harapan (PH) will focus on affordable housing and increasing Malaysians' incomes in their PRN Melaka manifesto, set to be launched in the coming days. The PH Secretariat for Electoral Affairs said the manifesto will also include support for small businesses, aid for students, and efforts to make assistance to the public more clear and straightforward.

Their priority is affordable homes that can be bought, better incomes, support for small businesses, aid for students, and assistance that is easy to access and understand. If the manifesto is launched, PH said the specifics of each offer will be announced then so voters can assess PH's commitment for themselves. The coalition said the offer takes into account public feedback on water supply, difficulty in acquiring housing, job opportunities with decent pay, and pressure from small businesses.

In addition to economic issues, PH also raised concerns about recurring flooding, land tenure, street lighting, cleanliness, and the management of public amenities. PH also questioned the BN record of winning 21 out of 28 seats in the 2021 Melaka PRN, saying a big mandate came with the responsibility of explaining actions taken on issues that still trouble the public as the election approaches.

"BN must explain what it has accomplished and why these grievances are still raised, rather than asking for trust as if it is the first time it is trying to govern Melaka," they said. PH said the "Melaka Our Home" campaign will continue through meetings with residents to discuss issues close to their daily lives. The coalition said governance power is not a lifetime right for any party, and voters are not bound to any mandate.
