Following FC Barcelona's 6-1 victory over Deportivo Alaves, goalkeeper Joan Garcia expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance. The goalkeeper highlighted the team's focused approach and strong defensive efforts as key factors in their dominant display. Garcia commended the performances of Frenkie de Jong and Brian Farinas, both of which received praise from coach Hansi Flick for their strong play in unfamiliar defensive roles.
The goalkeeper noted that small details proved crucial in overcoming past defeats against top teams like PSG and Real Madrid, and stressed the importance of maintaining concentration and minimizing mistakes moving forward. Garcia also defended the high press defense, acknowledging the risks involved but believing it was worth taking due to the team's attacking style.
With upcoming matches against Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid, Garcia expressed optimism for the team's performance in the coming weeks.
