India News Live Updates, 1 November 2026: Two teachers suspended after attack on child in Haryana school

Two JBT teachers, Simranjeet Kaur and Pooja Rani, have been suspended from Government Sanskriti Primary School in Panchkula following an incident where an eight-year-old student brutally attacked a six-year-old girl on October 28. The girl, now stable at PGIMER, Chandigarh, suffered facial fractures after the assailant struck her with a brick, flower pot and desk.

Police have booked the school authorities for negligence, while the Haryana government has formed a five-member probe panel to investigate the safety of schools across the state. The Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also requested a detailed report on the matter and the steps taken by the Education Department.
