"Gyanesh Kumar Will Go To Jail": Rahul Gandhi Calls 2024 Polls "Illegal" At Delhi Rally

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi invoked the metaphor of Shiv ki Baraat to advocate for an inclusive India, where everyone should have equal opportunities. At the INDIA bloc's Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, he emphasized that the country should belong to all, not just a few powerful individuals. Gandhi stated that people should be able to join Shiv ki Baraat regardless of their background, just as every living being can participate in it.

He highlighted that hardworking farmers and students should reap the rewards of their labor, and a country should not be controlled by a select few. Turning his attention to the Election Commission, Gandhi called for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar as the first step towards restoring the nation's course.

The Opposition has been raising concerns over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, accusing the Commission of deleting voters' names and demanding Kumar's resignation. The INDIA bloc rally is part of its campaign against the SIR exercise and voter deletions, with several prominent Opposition leaders participating.
