GPL 2026/27: 10-man Karela United hold Young Apostles in Wenchi
The Holy ones were held to a goalless draw at home by Karela United despite the latter suffering a red card during the game.
In the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, Young Apostles were unable to secure a victory as they drew 0-0 with Karela United at home. This marked the third consecutive game where Young Apostles failed to earn three points. Karela United, who had also suffered recent defeats, drew a goalless line with Young Apostles despite playing the entire match with 10 men after a red card in the 28th minute.
Young Apostles entered the match having recently lost to Asante Kotoko and Swedru All Blacks. Similarly, Karela had lost to All Blacks and Port City before this encounter. Despite a tightly contested game, neither team managed to score. This result kept Young Apostles in the relegation zone while Karela United finished 14th after nine games.
