Gachagua dares Ruto to leave Kalonzo alone, declares himself family spokesperson

NAIROBI, Kenya - Rigathi Gachagua, the leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), has cautioned President William Ruto's supporters against attempting to recruit Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka into their political fold ahead of the 2027 General Election. At a church service in Kikuyu County, Gachagua declared himself the Wiper leader's family spokesman and urged government officials seeking Kalonzo's endorsement to approach him directly.

Gachagua dismissed opposition attempts to engage Kalonzo, stating that the opposition leader was dedicated to collaborating with him and other opposition figures to alter the nation's political landscape. He emphasized Kalonzo's reliability and reliability, explaining that he had spent two years with the Wiper leader. Gachagua suggested that Kalonzo would not accept an invitation to join Ruto's political camp, prompting the audience to respond negatively.

The DCP leader urged the congregation to cease bothering Kalonzo Musyoka and highlighted Kalonzo's commitment to the country's liberation, further claiming that the two were working together. Gachagua also used the event to launch new criticisms against Ruto, alleging that his administration meddles in religious matters and discriminates against the Mount Kenya region.

Gachagua dismissed calls for reconciliation between himself and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, proclaiming that the two were actively working together.
