Footage of a Persona 1 remake has seemingly leaked online

Almost two minutes of footage from a potential remake of the original Persona has surfaced online. The clip, bearing the subtitle "Be Your True Mind," was posted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit and shared via Gofile on October 31st. The Japanese filename translates to "Megami Ibunroku Persona Remake."

Upon examination, the footage bears a striking resemblance to Atlus' more recent entries, such as Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload. It features stylish menus and a brief glimpse of combat reminiscent of these titles. Additionally, a social link cutscene is included, presented in a noticeably different artistic style, closely resembling a graphic novel.

Fans analyzing the footage have identified several details that suggest its authenticity. These include what appears to be Unreal Engine debug text in the top left corner during combat, a new remix of the original PlayStation game's Pandora theme, and the protagonist being referred to as "Boy With Earring," which matches his name in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.

Despite these intriguing findings, Atlus has not officially announced a Persona 1 remake. Therefore, the footage's validity cannot be confirmed. As always, all claims should be approached with caution.
