Aisha Steel Mills Ltd (ASL) has reduced the prices of its flat steel products by up to Rs. 8,000 per ton, according to JS Research. The company announced the price changes effective November 1, 2026.
The cold-rolled coil (CRC) now costs Rs. 202,450 per ton, down Rs. 6,000 per ton from the previous rate of around Rs. 208,450 per ton. This reduction equates to approximately 2.9 percent. Similarly, hot-dip galvanized coil (HDGC) has been lowered to Rs. 191,800 per ton, a decrease of Rs. 8,000 per ton from the earlier rate of about Rs. 199,800 per ton, representing a reduction of around 4 percent.
JS Research's CFA, M. Waqas Ghani, shared the update based on the brokerage's channel checks. Flat steel products, including CRC and HDGC, serve as raw materials for a wide range of everyday items. CRC is utilized in appliances, car components, and steel furniture, while HDGC finds application in roofing sheets, construction materials, and appliance bodies.
Consumers of 10 tons of HDGC, such as roofing sheet manufacturers or appliance producers, will save around Rs. 80,000 per order, while the same quantity of CRC will cost about Rs. 60,000 less. Whether these savings ultimately benefit consumers will depend on manufacturers passing on the reduced input costs; however, the price cut alleviates pressure on local industries that rely on flat steel. ASL is one of Pakistan's leading flat steel producers, and its pricing often sets the trend for the broader market.
