Evening recap: Adeboye denies anti-Jonathan protest, ADC tackles Tinubu, Odukoya remarries, other top stories

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has denied allegations of carrying a placard during a prayer walk against former President Goodluck Jonathan. The incident allegedly happened in 2020, five years after Jonathan left office in 2015, and was organized to pray for security and end killings in the country.

The Pastor has clarified that his actions were not a protest against Jonathan. Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to explain why President Bola Tinubu failed to fulfill his 2023 campaign promise of ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to Nigerians. The ADC's media spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, stated that the APC's attempts to reinterpret Tinubu's remarks are merely an attempt to avoid accountability.

In a separate development, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, announced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, during a Sunday service. The couple's announcement came after Odukoya posted a picture of their wedding rings on his Instagram account, marking the beginning of their new chapter together.

Lastly, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State called for unity among political interests in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections. He expressed confidence that Tinubu could secure 1.5 million votes from Osun if the APC candidates in the state perform well during the election.
