Zelensky: Energy equipment deliveries from Turkey expected next week
Following talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine expects another shipment of generators and other energy equipment from Turkey as early as next week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced during a meeting with journalists in Istanbul on Saturday that energy equipment deliveries from Turkey are expected to begin next week. The Ukrainian leader emphasized the importance of such projects for both nations, especially as Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages have intensified.
Zelensky confirmed that representatives of Turkish energy companies were present during the meeting and expressed confidence that the support supplies, including generators and other energy equipment, would increase in the coming week. Additionally, Zelensky highlighted the growing alliance between Ukraine and Turkey, extending beyond defense industry collaborations to include various economic projects.
He also mentioned a joint business meeting held in Istanbul that day, focusing on unblocking the Black Sea.
