Will Wade adds another 5 star player to the 2027 class
Baton Rouge, Louisiana - October 14, 2026 - Head coach Will Wade of the LSU Tigers has secured the commitment of another highly-rated prospect, bringing the total of five-star recruits to the program. Xavier Young, ranked as the No. 11 overall player in the 2028 class, announced his decision to join LSU and reclassify to the 2027 class.
The 6-10 center has chosen LSU over several other Division I programs, including Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, and TCU. Known for his unique combination of size and athleticism, Young's skills are qualities that cannot be taught. With Young joining the 2027 class, the Tigers will now possess the nation's top recruiting class, potentially setting the stage for one of the strongest eras in LSU men's basketball history.
