URC result: Sharks grind Munster into submission
The Sharks will resume their URC campaign with a home clash against the Stormers on 5 December.
The Sharks secured a third consecutive tour win, defeating Munster by a score of 15-3 at Thomond Park on Saturday. Coach JP Pietersen's team led by 5-3 at halftime, eventually winning the match 15-3 to move up to fourth place on the URC log. This victory came after an impressive win in Cardiff and an EPCR Challenge Cup triumph against Lyon in France.
It marks the first time the Sharks have won back-to-back URC matches overseas. Despite Munster dominating possession and territory, the Sharks' defense, which made 148 tackles with an 86% success rate, proved to be the deciding factor. The Sharks, missing centers André Esterhuizen and Jurenzo Julius, suffered a late setback when in-form flanker Matt Romao was ruled out due to injury and replaced by Tino Mavesere.
