Two arrested over murder of female tricycle rider in Bono East

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Peter Nchor Asadigina, 21, and Mudasel Dramani, 19, for the murder of a female tricycle rider and the theft of her vehicle in Afrancho, near Konkoli, Bono East Region. The suspects were apprehended on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Hansua after receiving a tip-off. Preliminary investigations suggest the duo hired the victim at the Ampabame Lorry Station in Kumasi on October 29 to transport them to Afrancho.

Police claim the suspects then brutally murdered her and fled the scene with her green Bajaj tricycle, intending to relocate and use it for commercial purposes. During their arrest, officers found the tricycle's number plate M-26-AE 2047, eight mobile phones, including an iPhone 12 Pro likely belonging to the deceased, three SIM cards, an MTN MiFi device, keys, two lighters, and a jackknife cover.

The victim's body has been taken to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Both suspects are currently in police custody and are cooperating with the investigation.
