The Nokia 2360 Flip Has A Classic Clamshell Design, An SOS Button, And 2G Connectivity

HMD has launched the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new feature phone aimed at senior citizens and young students. The device emphasizes safety features and parental controls. Key features include the Family Assist function and a dedicated SOS button on the back. The Nokia 2360 Flip boasts a classic clamshell design reminiscent of earlier mobile phones.

Its screen options include a 2.8-inch QVGA main display and a smaller 1.77-inch QQVGA screen on the casing. Additional hardware includes a 3.5mm audio jack, side volume controls, and large keys for easier usage. However, the Nokia 2360 Flip is limited to 2G connectivity on GSM 900/1800 MHz networks. While 2G networks are still present in Malaysia, their availability is limited, depending on the carrier.

The Nokia 2360 Flip can be remotely set up using the Family Assist feature. Family members can control various functions through SMS, such as adding contacts, adjusting volume, setting reminders, and more. They can also designate emergency contacts who will be alerted during an emergency. Pressing the SOS button for three seconds will trigger an automated call to a pre-set number and simultaneously text up to five emergency contacts.

Additional parental controls include a School Mode that restricts the phone to the clock function and emergency calls, and the ability to block specific apps like games and the camera. The Nokia 2360 Flip features a removable 1,450mAh battery capable of up to 27.5 hours of talk time, a QVGA rear camera with flash, 4MB RAM, 4MB internal storage, and an FM radio.
