Steph Curry dropped Luka Doncic with an ankle breaker and splashed 3 over him

Luka Doncic made a triumphant return to his home court at the Chase Center, where he faced off against the Golden State Warriors in a highly anticipated matchup on Friday night. However, the atmosphere was far from favorable for the Dallas Mavericks star as he faced a wave of boos and chants of "Luka sucks" from the crowd. The animosity between the players dates back to the season opener between the two teams on October 21, when Doncic and Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg were reportedly engaging in trash talk during the game.

Following the altercation, Lendeborg received a technical foul for admitting to hearing some "cuss words" directed towards Doncic. He later expressed his disappointment, stating that he had "lost all respect" for his former teammate due to his "whining and complaining." As anticipation for the rematch between Doncic and Lendeborg grew, Lendeborg made a bold entrance to the arena dressed as Michael Myers, the iconic horror movie character.

While Lendeborg engaged in his off-court theatrics, Doncic took to the court to challenge his former adversary. The Dallas Mavericks forward immediately made an impact, sinking a three-pointer that set the tone for the game. The Lakers then went on an impressive 12-0 run, extending their lead to 5-0. Although the Warriors managed to take their first timeout, Doncic continued to dominate, scoring 21 points in the first half alone.

Despite a 10-0 run from Golden State in the second quarter, the Lakers held their own, holding Doncic to a combined total of 24 points. Near the end of the first half, Golden State executed a 10-0 run, led by Steph Curry's 14-point performance. As of the current update, the game is tied at 53-53, with both teams poised for a thrilling finish.
