Rutgers football hosts Michigan today in Week 9 of the college football season. Follow along here for updates.
PISCATAWAY – Rutgers football faces a challenging matchup against Michigan today, needing to maintain optimal health and consistency. Unfortunately, starting quarterback Dylan Lonergan is sidelined due to an injury suffered during last week's game against Northwestern. As a result, backup QBs AJ Surace or Sean Ashenfelder will take the field against the Wolverines (12:30 p.m., Big Ten Network).
Michigan arrives at SHI Stadium with a defeat to defending champion Indiana in overtime. While Michigan boasts a formidable defense, they've had significant struggles on offense, now featuring a true freshman quarterback in Tommy Carr. Rutgers must find a way to secure a victory in this highly anticipated game.
