Pemimpin PN, PH beramah mesra di pusat penamaan calon Bukit Katil

Pemimpin gabungan Perikatan Nasional (PN) dan Pakatan Harapan (PH) were seen in a friendly atmosphere at the candidate-naming center in Bukit Katil, Melaka, in the early hours of November 14, ahead of the PRN Melaka 16 elections on November 14. Among the leaders present were PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan, Arau MP Shahidan Kassim, PH candidate Adly Zahari for Bukit Katil, and Amanah President Mohamad Sabu, also known as Mat Sabu.

The leaders exchanged handshakes upon arrival at the candidate-naming center, where candidates and party leaders gathered to submit nomination papers for the relevant state election. Earlier, PH supporters chanted the slogan "Reformasi" while PN supporters shouted "Hidup Islam" during their rally.

The candidate-naming process was scheduled to conclude at 10 a.m., after which the list of candidates contesting the 28 DUN seats would be sealed. The initial draw was set for November 10, with the final draw scheduled for November 14. A total of 28 seats were contested in PRN Melaka 16, with 687,697 eligible voters expected to participate. The Dewan Undian Melaka (Malacca State Legislative Assembly) was dissolved on September 23, three months earlier than the automatic dissolution date.
