PAS’s Mata Ayer rep dies at 50

Wan Badariah Wan Saad, the Adun Mata Ayer, passed away at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Kangar, Perlis late yesterday afternoon. PAS Perlis announced that the 50-year-old had succumbed to his death at 4:26 pm. May Allah bless his soul, absolve him of all sins, and place him among the righteous believers and pious individuals, the PAS Perlis statement said on Facebook.

Wan Badariah was a lawyer and had served as an exco member of the Perlis government, holding portfolios for women, family and community development, tourism, welfare and disaster relief, culture, arts and heritage. He represented the people of Mata Ayer after winning the constituency in PRU15 with a 2,021 majority on the Perikatan Nasional ticket, defeating a Barisan Nasional candidate and a Pakatan Harapan contender.
