Orlando Pirates supporters dominated their Kaizer Chiefs rivals during the pre-match festivities of the Soweto derby, according to IOL. The outlet also noted that match organisers were prepared before the kick-off.
The match, scheduled for a 3:30 pm kick-off at a sold-out FNB Stadium, features two teams that remain unbeaten in the Betway Premiership this season. Orlando Pirates captain Nkosinathi Sibisi expressed confidence in the club's younger players during media comments in Randburg on Thursday. Sibisi stated that the fixture would offer valuable experience for the youth ahead of a CAF Champions League campaign.
Speaking on the squad, Sibisi said the young players listen to guidance and have delivered for the club. While acknowledging that Kaizer Chiefs have not lost in the league, Sibisi noted that the team must focus on their own performance to secure a result.
