Rivers United and Rangers are set to face off in a crucial clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday, according to the DAILY POST. Both teams are currently tied on 17 points, but their goal difference separates them. Last season, Rivers United suffered their first defeat, losing 2-1 to Bendel Insurance in Benin City.
Meanwhile, Rangers will focus on defending their title after being eliminated from the CAF Champions League by MC Alger. The Rivers United side entering the matchday 11 fixture has a slight advantage, having won their last 10 encounters in Port Harcourt since switching from Dolphins FC. The last time Rangers claimed victory in Port Harcourt was back in 2003 when they beat the Pride of Rivers 1-0.
