Lagos State Speaker Mudashir Obasa has expressed confidence in Dr Obafemi Hamzat's ability to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Obasa, addressing journalists during Hamzat's formal manifesto presentation at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Iganmu, Lagos, praised Hamzat's competence, character, and determination.
The current Deputy Governor and APC candidate in the state was considered for the governorship position in 2019 but was instead appointed Deputy Governor. Obasa stated that Hamzat's educational background and experience in both private and public offices make him well-equipped to rewrite Lagos State's socio-economic narrative.
