Karachi Traffic Diversion Plan Announced as Flyover Work Begins

The Karachi traffic police have unveiled a diversion plan due to ongoing construction on the Nishtar Road, Lalu Line, Garden Road, and Aga Khan III Road flyover projects, as reported by ARY News. Motorists will no longer be able to travel from Goodluck Marriage Hall to Jaman Shah Mazar from tonight. Those arriving from Pak Colony and Lyari Expressway will need to take Orange Street instead.

To reach Nishtar Road, drivers can use De Silva Street and make a U-turn near Jaman Shah Mazar. Vehicles heading towards Saddar can utilize Aga Khan III Road. Motorists traveling from Murad Khan Chowk can access Fawara Chowk via Shalimar Street, and from there, Orange Street and Lalu Line Road will lead them to Manghopir Road. An alternative route from Murad Khan Chowk involves Garden Official Street, Jilani Chowk, and Dhobi Ghat.

Heavy traffic will be rerouted from Bara Board towards Nazimabad, Gulbahar, and Lasbela. Motorists traveling to Gurumandir and MA Jinnah Road will also have to use alternate roads. Traffic police will be stationed at all diversion points to assist commuters. The traffic police have advised citizens to adhere to the new routes and heed the guidance of traffic personnel.
