Joe Budden Makes ‘Law & Order’ Cameo as a Rapper Named Big Switty
The rapper-turned-podcaster can now add "actor" to his résumé, just after he launched a true-crime podcast with L&O creator Dick Wolf.
Rapper Joe Budden appeared on an episode of Law & Order titled "Property," playing a rapper named Big Switty. In the episode, Big Switty becomes entangled in a murder investigation after a voicemail he sent to an art broker is discovered, which threatens someone. The rapper's character is heard saying, "Hey, Carson. You wanna make this thing ugly?
I'll break your face ugly." When the police visit him, Big Switty claims he wanted his money back from a failed deal after spending $300,000 on a purported Egyptian mask he later revealed to be fake. He also provided information about Andrew Carson's girlfriend. Big Switty had an alibi, stating he was at dinner with his manager and lawyer the night before.
Budden and Law & Order creator Dick Wolf have a true-crime podcast called Crime in America, where they highlight cases as they become national news and keep tabs on them throughout the episode.
