James Hetfield Says Turnstile Turned Down Touring with Metallica

James Hetfield, frontman of Metallica, recently expressed his disappointment regarding Turnstile's refusal to join the band on tour. During his SiriusXM show Riff Life, Hetfield conveyed his desire to have Turnstile join their ranks but was met with a resounding "No." In his words, "We wanted to get them on tour, and they said, No. They're doing good on their own already."

Despite Turnstile's success in bringing an electrifying energy to their live performances, Hetfield recognized their individual success and admiration for their live show. He encouraged fans to catch them on stage if they have the opportunity.

Additionally, Hetfield shared that he and other Metallica members had previously interacted with Turnstile. A couple of years ago, Hetfield reportedly spotted the band members on stage during one of their performances. More recently, Metallica opened for the European leg of Turnstile's M72 World Tour earlier this year.

Hetfield also mentioned that Turnstile has a new guitarist, Meg Mills, joining their lineup, adding to the band's dynamic and fun atmosphere.
