Iran’s supreme leader warns US, Israel against new attacks

Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, cautioned the United States and Israel against engaging in further military or terrorist actions, according to a written statement released on Saturday. The warning followed threats from the enemies of Iran to resume strikes. Khamenei stated that if the adversaries launch military or terrorist attacks once again, it would be the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people who would decide the timing and conditions for their cessation.

The remarks were made during a meeting between Khamenei and senior military commanders, including Ali Abdollahi, Amir Hatami, and Ahmad Vahidi. The meeting is reported to be the first of its kind. In his statement, Khamenei emphasized that any level or type of threat must be responded to with an immediate, impactful, and geographically unrestricted action. He also ordered the commanders to update Iran's target list to encompass all tangible and intangible assets of the American-Zionist enemy.

The conflict erupted on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which responded swiftly with attacks on regional countries. The supreme leader's warning arrives as diplomatic efforts continue to prevent a resumption of hostilities. A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday to engage in talks with Iranian officials, following reports that Iran received a letter from US Vice-President JD Vance. As of now, Tehran has not responded to the letter.
