‘I Happily Accept Bribes If Offered’ MP’s Panna Executive Engineer Suspended After Shocking Admission Goes Viral On Social Media

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: The state government suspended water resources department executive engineer C B Ahirwar on Friday following the viral social media remarks about accepting bribes. He was posted in Panna at the time of the suspension and has been transferred to the Bhopal office pending further orders. Ahirwar told media, "I don't demand a bribe, but if someone offers, I keep it happily."

Earlier on October 27, Sagar Lokayukta police arrested two WRD employees in Panna for accepting a bribe of Rs 45,000. During his media interactions on Thursday, Ahirwar stated that he had never demanded bribes but would accept voluntary payments in good faith, describing it as a "good gesture" from contractors. The government deemed his admission to accepting bribes as a violation of service rules and disciplined him accordingly.
