How to watch No. 11 Texas vs. Mississippi State: Game time, TV, streaming, and more
Can the Horns build on last week’s win and keep their postseason hopes alive?
On October 24, 2026, Texas Longhorns hosted Mississippi State Bulldogs in an SEC matchup at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Texas entered the game as the No. 11 team, while Mississippi State, now without their star quarterback Kamario Taylor, sat at the No. 15 mark.
Texas managed to secure a win against Ole Miss Rebels earlier in the season, but it was a close call. Their offense showed signs of life with Raleek Brown rushing for 157 yards and Michael Terry contributing 41 yards and a touchdown. Texas defense allowed a combined 267 yards through the air and 124 yards on the ground against Mississippi State.
Mississippi State's offense struggled without Taylor, dropping three consecutive games by a combined 110-38. Their defense has been inconsistent, giving up an average of 267 yards through the air and 124 yards on the ground against opponents.
In this game, Texas seemingly found its identity, but can they maintain that performance against the hobbled Bulldogs? Mississippi State aims to end their three-game losing streak in SEC play.
Key player injuries for Texas include Trevor Goosby (out), Richard Wesley (out), and Colin Simmons (out). For Mississippi State, quarterback Kamario Taylor (out), linebacker Jalen Smith (out), wide receiver Ayden Williams (out), defensive lineman Trevion Williams (out), offensive lineman DJ Chester (out), defensive lineman Diesel Moye (out), and safety Isaac Smith (questionable) all missed the matchup.
