The actress shared with Sania Mirza on her talk show that the decision was spontaneous and made in under 15 minutes. Hina explained that her health, specifically her breast cancer diagnosis, prompted her to ask Rocky, "Either you move ahead and get married, or I better marry someone."

After Sania questioned the brevity of the decision, Hina responded, "In less than that, actually." She emphasized that their relationship remained unchanged regardless of their marital status, as the couple has celebrated their first anniversary without remembering it. The intimate wedding took place on the terrace of their Mumbai residence, with only a handful of close loved ones in attendance.
