Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli LIVE round-by-round updates

Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli were set to face off for the WBC super middleweight title in a highly anticipated bout on Saturday at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight was scheduled to commence around 5:30 p.m. ET on DAZN pay-per-view.

Canelo Alvarez, coming off a unanimous decision loss to Bud Crawford, relinquished his WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight titles. In contrast, Christian Mbilli had just elevated himself to the WBC super middleweight champion after Crawford's retirement. Mbilli had previously faced Lester Martinez and split the decision in September.

The undercard fight concluded after the twelfth round, with MMA Fighting tallying the scores at 48-47 in favor of Mbilli. The main event commenced with Mbilli emerging as the champion, while Canelo Alvarez aimed to reclaim the gold around his waist.
