Blaine Perkins joins Sam Hunt Racing for the 2027 NASCAR season

Sam Hunt Racing has announced that NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Blaine Perkins will join their organization in 2027. Perkins will drive the No. 24 GR Supra, under the guidance of crew chief Brian Gainey. Sam Hunt, the owner and president of Sam Hunt Racing, expressed excitement about Perkins joining the team, praising his experience and motivation.

Perkins, a journeyman driver who began his career at the age of eight, has since won championships in California and the NASCAR Whelen All American Series. He also secured three victories in the ARCA West in 2020. Perkins made his NASCAR debut in 2021 and has earned six top-10 finishes to date. Speaking about his decision, Perkins expressed his pride and gratitude, stating it's a dream come true to race for SHR and Toyota.
