The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has established a new campaign council in the North-West region as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. The inauguration took place on Saturday following a meeting of the North-West Zonal Caucus in Sokoto State. Alhaji Nuradeen Lawal Chindo was elected as the council's chairman, while Dr Bello Shehu was appointed as secretary.
The council's formation aims to enhance the party's structure and coordinate mobilization ahead of the elections. Dr Christopher Okechukwu, spokesperson for the 2027 ADC Presidential Campaign Council, stated that the council would oversee campaign activities in the seven North-West states. The inauguration was presided over by Hon.
Bala Sani Kumo, Deputy Director-General (North) of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council. The party emphasized its commitment to a people-driven, issue-based campaign focusing on good governance, peace, and sustainable development.
