Adam Adli: Perikatan’s RoS suspension is their internal conflict, not Pakatan's doing

Melaka PKR chief Adam Adli Abd Halim firmly rejected allegations that his political bloc orchestrated the Registrar of Societies’ (RoS) decision to suspend Perikatan Nasional (PN). Speaking at a press conference, Adli emphasized that the matter stems from internal discord within the opposition Perikatan coalition, not from any strategy devised by Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He reiterated PH’s stance that the forthcoming Melaka state election should be a fair contest, allowing voters to decide on their preferred government without interference from internal disputes. The Home Minister and Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman were also present at the press conference. Adli stressed that PH’s focus is on ensuring a transparent electoral process for Melaka’s residents, with no connection to the internal conflict within Perikatan.

PN’s president-elect Datuk Seri Dominic Lau had previously suggested that the RoS action was part of a broader PH strategy aimed at facilitating Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s re-election. However, a High Court stayed the suspension on Oct 22, pending PN’s judicial review, allowing the coalition to continue its election campaign. The election, set for Nov 14, will include early voting on Nov 10.
