2027: Epe LG chair pledges massive votes for Hamzat

The chairman of Epe Local Government Area in Lagos State, Surah Animashaun, has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress candidate for governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and other party candidates will receive significant support during the 2027 general elections. Speaking to Dr. Hamzat, Animashaun attributed her confidence to the accomplishments of the current APC-led federal and Lagos State governments.

She emphasized that these achievements would be a key talking point in the party's campaign, particularly in highlighting ongoing projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, Trans-Saharan Superhighway, grid upgrades for electricity, and the modernization of major commercial ports in Lagos. Animashaun urged residents of Epe and neighboring communities to support Hamzat, President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, and other APC candidates in order to ensure the continuation of these development efforts.

She also stressed the importance of unity and collaboration among political leaders dedicated to the progress of Lagos State. Dr. Hamzat, in turn, expressed his confidence in the President's leadership and the effectiveness of the Tinubu administration's policies and economic reforms aimed at revitalizing the Nigerian economy. He vowed to continue drumming up support for the APC during the 2027 elections, emphasizing that the party's campaign would be heavily reliant on the successes of the federal and Lagos State government since coming into power.
