YouTube for Google TV update gives YouTube Music a distracting red logo I can’t stand

YouTube is currently testing an update on Google TV which brings noticeable changes to the platform's interface, particularly concerning the YouTube Music icon. The update has introduced a noticeable alteration by replacing the YouTube Music icon along the side with a bright red logo. This change is starkly different from the previously used icons, which were monochrome.

The sidebar, which previously contained icons of consistent color, now features this single red icon, drawing significant attention and likely causing distraction to users. The YouTube Music tab itself has remained untouched, still presenting music videos and content from artists that users have engaged with or follow. This update might potentially spread across other platforms where YouTube's TV app is used, as the design is shared across multiple platforms.

However, the author of this report is displeased with this change and hopes that it will be reverted.
