Walmart offers a budget-friendly Vizio Mini LED Quantum TV that eschews the need for sign-ups and smart features. While delivering a bright and vibrant image, the TV's black levels aren't as deep as those on pricier models. By avoiding the smart TV setup, users can sidestep privacy concerns and frequent updates. The 65-inch model is priced at $358 (a $40 discount) and the 85-inch model at $698 (a $100 discount) at Walmart.
Users can bypass Vizio's operating system by dismissing the warnings about missing out on smart TV features, enabling the use of external streaming devices like Roku or Apple TV 4K without data collection worries. Notable specs include quantum dots for vivid colors and high brightness (up to 936 nits), though the IPS panel has room for improvement in black levels and motion blur during fast scenes.
The TV has three HDMI ports, each rated at 2.0, though the screen supports up to 4K at 60Hz, which doesn't hinder the overall viewing experience.
