‘The players are very motivated’ – GoldStars SC boss confident ahead of Samartex clash
The Miners secured a 2-1 win over Heart of Lions on matchweek eight and are occupying the 12th position in the league standings with 10 points from eight matches.
Bibiani GoldStars SC head coach Petros Koukouras expressed confidence in his team's motivation ahead of the regional derby against FC Samatex 1996 in the Ghana Premier League. The Miners recently secured a 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions and currently sit 12th in the league standings with 10 points from eight matches. Speaking to GoldStars TV, Koukouras emphasized that the team is primed to face their rivals and aims to make a statement.
He noted that the players are very motivated, attributing their recent successes to their own efforts rather than luck. Koukouras also assured that the team's attacking style will remain consistent, despite the challenging nature of a derby match. He acknowledged that tactical adjustments might be necessary for an away fixture but maintained that the principles of play will remain unchanged.
The Greek tactician reiterated that the main goal is to score goals and secure a positive result, whether it's a win or a draw, as both scenarios would earn the team three points. GoldStars SC's clash with FC Samatex 1996 is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena at 3:00 pm.
