Atiku Abubakar's Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to provide updates on his recent trip to Saudi Arabia. Tinubu is currently in Makkah, performing the Lesser Hajj, or Umrah. In his first communication to Tinubu, Shaibu reminded the President that Nigerians are eagerly awaiting his account of the spiritual journey.
This request followed claims that Tinubu's Saudi Arabia visit was actually for medical reasons, a notion Atiku had debunked. During his time in Makkah, Tinubu addressed the media, praying for Nigeria. Shaibu commended Tinubu's transparency, stating that his attendance report after yesterday's Jumat prayers demonstrated accountability.
Shaibu further questioned what exactly Tinubu was saying during an interview, hinting at potential misunderstandings. Shaibu concluded by reiterating the expectation that today's report on Tinubu's Saudi Arabia activities will be forthcoming.
