Meta quietly launches an AI fashion app for virtually trying on clothes

Meta has quietly released an AI-powered fashion app called Style Sketch, initially available in select Asian countries like Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. This is the company's latest AI app, joining a growing list of offerings such as Waddle World and AI-enhanced features within its core platforms. Style Sketch allows users to connect their Facebook and Instagram accounts to create a virtual wardrobe from their shared photos or to upload existing images directly from their devices.

Users can then receive outfit suggestions, virtually try on different combinations, and even plan outfits for specific weather conditions or travel itineraries. The app utilizes Meta's AI technology to suggest outfit combinations based on the user's existing wardrobe, desired weather, or planned trips. While Meta's chief, Mark Zuckerberg, has emphasized the company's commitment to releasing numerous AI-powered apps, Style Sketch joins several other AI-driven fashion features from competitors like Google and OpenAI, highlighting the rapid advancements in this space.
